The free resources page is built

The page is finished. All four things you asked for on the 18th are on it: the monthly download leading, the categories as tabs, every other item showing a padlock, and the question at the bottom asking what to make next. 215 sheets sit behind it.

It is still unlinked, out of your menu and out of search, because the material on it had not been read through. Week 17 reads it through and then opens it. What the page offers is settled and written below: one free item from each category a month without signing up, and everything once someone signs up. Nothing on this page needs an answer from you.

The short version

  • Finished, on your site, on the layout you picked
  • 215 sheets behind it across six categories
  • The padlocks landed on the 30th, later than they should have
  • One free item from each of the six categories a month without signing up; a signup opens everything

Open it

It exists in two places. The preview store copy is where changes are tried first and needs the password below.

The preview store is password protected. Press unlock once and every link on this page opens straight through.

What is on it

215 sheets across six categories, counted off the live page on the 31st.

57 protocols and 56 capture sheets

The bulk of the shelf. What to capture for a study, in order, with a tick box beside every image.

89 crosswords

One per subtopic, covering all 89 of them, none doubled and none missing. Every clue was written from scratch and checked against a named source before it went in.

13 templates, guides and cheat sheets

Including your own Editable Ultrasound Worksheets at 33 pages, and the abbreviations reference, which was rebuilt from three pages to seven with the answer key and instructions it had been missing.

One thing to know about your worksheets pack

Seven of its 33 pages have tables that run close to the edge of the paper, worst at page 16. Nothing is cut off in the file itself. A home printer usually cannot print the outer quarter inch, so those pages may lose a sliver at the edge, and the page says so where a reader will see it. It went up as you sent it because it is your document; say the word if you would rather the tables were narrowed.

What the page offers

Settled, and written into this week's agreement the same way.

The offer

Signing up by email unlocks everything. Without a signup, a visitor takes one item from each of the six categories a month, so six free downloads a month, one per shelf. The monthly giveaway at the top stays open to everyone and says so. Your words in August were one per topic per month; the shelf is organized into six categories, so that is what a topic became once it grew.

One line on the page still catches up

The rule underneath already works this way. The label on the locked cards still reads that each one unlocks with a free signup, which understates the offer, and that wording is being changed this week so the page says what the rule does.

How the page is laid out

This part is settled unless you want it changed.

The lead resource

Large preview at the top so someone can see what it is, with a link beside it to the paid product covering the same subject and a line on what that adds.

Everything else, below

Small previews in a grid: enough to show the design, not enough to read or use. Two ways to do that, and I will build both so you can pick.

Matched products throughout

Each free resource points at the paid product nearest its subject. That is the point of the page.

The preview pictures

Built, and worth a look now that the shelf is full.

Built

Each card shows its own first page

Every one of the 215 cards carries a picture of the sheet it hands out rather than a generic tile, so a student can see what they are taking before they take it.

Say if it needs changing

Small enough not to be usable

The pictures are sized to show the layout and not the words, so nobody works around the signup by reading the preview. If any of them reads as too legible or too obscured, say which and it changes.

What has to happen before it opens

Two holds, and they come off in this order.

1. The sheets get read through

Every sheet on the shelf, page by page, on the review page. Handing a student an unchecked study sheet costs more than handing them nothing, which is why this comes first rather than last.

2. The page joins your site properly

Into your menu, and the instruction telling search engines to ignore it comes off. Until then it is reachable only by the link on this page.
